Sup guys, who wants to see a movie about Obi Wan? Personnally, even if I LOVE the sith and the empire, Obi Wan will always be one of my favorite character in the entirety of the whole Star Wars franchise. So, recently, I decided to watch Stupendous Wave and Star Wars theory again and even if I find their videos very short, I still like them and I got inspiration from them. So yeah, Obi Wan as always been a fascinating character to me, he's not a perfect jedi because his master died and he's very flawed when it came to training Anakin. Also, like a lot of the jedi in the prequels, they are not good people, Mace Windu was way too agressive, Obi Wan was a little bit too attached to Anakin and in general, they were too much involved in the Clone Wars as Yoda said in the original trilogy. Anyway, I really like Obi Wan and I would REALLY like to see a movie about him, Ewan McGregor did an amazing jobs when it came to portraying him.My Social Medias :

Awesome! It would be so cool if this movie came. And a movie about Qui-Gon Jinn with Liam Neeson would also be great; Qui-Gon's got way too little screen time.

The whole Jedi way of life was flawed. I wouldn't consider Obi-Wan's attachment to Anakin be bad thing; the Jedi might see it as a bad thing but his love for Anakin was really sweet. In fact, I'd argue that his main flaw was that he didn't show Anakin that he loved him enough because he wanted to follow the Jedi way not form attachments.

Yes, that's why the prequels are awesome, they showed that the jedis were VERY flawed and that's why they were doomed to fail.

I think that one of the main messages of Star Wars is that both the Jedi and Sith are extremes that are unhealthy and destructive. The Jedi are often portrayed as the good guys but in some ways, they're as bad as the Sith. Luke was probably the purest-hearted character in the series and this led to him refusing to follow the other Jedi's wishes; they wanted him to kill his father, Darth Vader but he refused to. In the newest movies, Luke has realized that the Jedi way of life is deeply flawed and because of this, it had failed and led to Order 66 and they'd failed his father in the prequels and his attempts to follow the Jedi way had led to him failing his nephew as well. This led to him having severe depression for years, turning him into a shell of who he once was and stripping him of all hope and will until he just wanted to die (I wouldn't be surprised if he'd even thought of committing suicide a few times).

Luke Skywalker sucked in the new movie. He went from being an optimist to being a character that wants to kill himself. By the way, yes, Vader tought of suicide, he was a very depressed man.

As painful as it was to watch, I'm glad they focused on Luke depression and didn't sweep it under the rug after giving so many hints in The Force Awakens. I didn't expect it to be so intense though. To be fair, Obi-Wan was really depressed too, to the point of basically committing suicide by Vader hand but was still able to train Luke. It just shows how strong Obi-Wan really was. I was actually talking about Luke but it wouldn't surprise me if Vader thought of suicide, especially since he was likely Borderline and it wouldn't surprised if he had depression too. The Jedi way must be unhealthy if mental illness is so high among the Jedi.

Why would he want to die and be left alone if he did a map to find him in case of war? Obi-Wan didn't commit suicide, he wanted to be one with the force, not the same thing. Vader tought of suicide because he hated himself the most, his hate for himself is what gave him so much power in the dark side.
