I really enjoy when you ask for a critique in one of your artwork, it means you really want to improve more and more; let's take a look to what we have this time:

As soon as I saw the title and the "concept" of the drawing, I knew they matched, I think it's due to the way you draw her hand and those tears, it totally fits the dark concept. I think you haven't drawn too many dark pics but when you do, they look simply amazing just like this one.

Your coloring looks clean and smooth in the entire pic, my favourite part was the hand, it was totally worth those 56 layers! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/t… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Thumbs Up" />

Now about some details, they might be the size of her head, I mean, overall it looks great but seems a little bit bigger than her body and you're right the tears could have been better, but in any way, both details look okay, just keep an eye on them.

About the background, it complements your pic very well too, mostly because of the tone, I think you could have even tried with some darker colors so you could get an even more amazing outcome, but overall it looks great too!

Except for that ADORABLE cat hood. I mean, seriously. *shot*

okay so I think I'll try and crit what I can, which'll be hard because you're better than me. lmao :c So, I LOVE your coloring, as always! Especially on the hood, it's really amazing~

Now that I see the picture bigger, I can tell what you were saying by you "rely on lines too much." It looks like the hand is outlined in a dark gray. I think if you put another midtone in between the accidental outline you have, and the shading of the edge of the hand, it might look more like shading rather than lineart. (Same goes for the locket's shading. lol)

Another thing that sticks out to me in the coloring is how the ear of the hood looks.. It looks as if it doesn't belong there. I know it's not at the right angle, but it looks so much lighter than the edge of the hood, it looks as if it's behind her rather than part of the hood itself. Iunno how you could fix it (because I don't know much about this kind of coloring anyway. Haha;; ), but I'm sure you'd be able to figure it out since you're good at that. xD;;

And one thing about the proportions, it looks like her head is huge. Or it's just the hood, but either way it looks way to big to be on that body unless it's a Sonic character. Maybe making the hood more fitted to her head would make it easier to tell that it's not a giant head. And uhm, I agree with you on the tears. I think they color of them is off.. or something. I'm not entirely sure really;;

Other than that GOD I LOVE IT. I like the background color you used, and the way it looks kinda foggy gives it a very creepy atmosphere, I really love that. <3 And they way you textured the hood is amazing, it looks so realistic and.. clothing like. Now these are the kind of pictures I like to call: AMAZING. The emotion is just fantabulous (one of my 'words' lmao) and it's just so...dramatic lol.
