Description
Plesiosaurus dolichodeirus was the first Plesiosaur discovered, giving the entire order its name. Its name "near lizard" reflects that it appeared more similar to modern lizards than Ichthyosaurus, which was discovered just a fewnightmare years prior. While Plesiosaurus formerly included multiple species, now it only consists of one. Big thanks to for advising me in regards to the length of the neck.Related content
