Hey there, *ark4n, Really nice work here. I agree with ~Oskar-A about the stairs, but told myself that perhaps they were meant to be more of a ramp?. The warmer colours closer to us and the cooler colours in the shadows work really well. I am sure you tried many different skies to see which colours enhanced all those gears. What bothers me about the piece is the stone wall not quite looking like masonry...too regular perhaps and the handrail top not being stone nor metal but just a coloured surface... OK That's just my take. I comment on works that really excite me, and your work is fabulous!

Thanks for the nice suggestions! I want to improve this scenery in some aspects, including the materials and the stairs. I thought it as small part of a adventure game.

And you're right, I tried many different skies because of the gears ^_^

Your piece seems MORE than only part of an adventure game. Perhaps a book cover illustration...something much more complete that a game sequence. (grin)

Interesting but since you asked for suggestions:
I think that if you "fillet" off the edges of the gears it would look much more convincing. I have no idea how difficult that would be with Blender. I tried it but found it painfully unintuitive to work with.
Another thing. the stair steps are not horizontal. The stair is steeper than the steps are adjusted for.

cool perhaps a little more fog for some atmospheric perspective to add a little extra depth.
