Heh, thanks alot. Credit goes to Rebecca, for the stars and moon

My brothers constantly makes me build lego-figures for them. Most often, big things with intricate weaponry-systems. Not that I mind. I always enjoyed using moveable parts, the most

It'd be my pleasure

If there's any type of landscape, or sky setting you'd really like to see.. Perhaps I could make it, if I got the time

I will be very happy if I see your work about Paris, but you never been there, so that will be difficult ^^

Oh, I'm not even sure if I could be able to model a city :s I'm working on 3D Modelling, but I'm far from good enough to do something like Paris!

However, when I get good enough... If ever... we can see

Thanks alot

I actually forgot a surface map in there. Those grass looking spots are actually the result of a rogue layer. A default one I simply forgot to edit

it has some flaws. I was fairly new when making this one ^^ My terrains weren't that good, although this one works for the setting.

This is absolutely incredible! The night sky really takes out the occasional mundaneness of Terragen--trust me, I have it, and I've seen it all. But I really like the shading in this, it really makes it stand out among Terragen ventures, and I quite like night scenes. Very nice work

Ariades In reply to StaticFactory [2006-10-24 20:56:34 +0000 UTC]

Why, thank you for such a nice comments ^^

It's true, though, one doesn't often see night scenes too often nowadays... I have to say, though: The sky was made with PhotoShop. The sun was simply erased and replaced by a self-made-moon (: This was done by my friend ~Knifeofart ^_^

And thanks alot for all those kind words! And for fav, of course

Ariades In reply to StaticFactory [2006-10-25 16:27:49 +0000 UTC]

I don't have PhotoShop

But it would be nice to have. GIMP is a freeware program that's also good (: I'm going to download it later. You might find it interesting.

Yeah, I've got that on my laptop--my laptop runs on both Windows and Linux, and my laptop is on the Linux partition. I might see if I can get the file onto Windows if I clean up my hard drive

So how was your day, anyways?

StaticFactory In reply to Ariades [2006-10-26 19:39:05 +0000 UTC]

My day was awesome--I drew two of my characters from my story, woo-hoo I'll post them on DA as soon as I can.

Their names are Graham (who is the main guy, and whose picture I still need to color) and Taylor (who is Graham's awesome cousin, w00t) but I left my colored pencils in 3rd period -_-...

Hey, thanks!
And now that you mention it, you're right; we don't see many night scenes anymore O.o

And glad you like it. I can't recall seeing you around before. How'd yeh stumble upon me?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kazlor In reply to Ariades [2006-10-21 21:39:00 +0000 UTC]

Heh, it was a late, late night of browsing through the 3D imagry in dA's database.

I'm actually debating turning my current work into a night scene, it's just getting the proper settings again. Ugh.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ariades In reply to Kazlor [2006-10-22 08:54:34 +0000 UTC]

Heh, I see.

A tips for night scenes, would be to exaggerate the Meters Point Spacing The standard in this picture is 30, and I changed it to around... 1500

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kazlor In reply to Ariades [2006-10-22 09:10:01 +0000 UTC]

1500? Jesus.
I might just have to give that a try. I'm still working on one and trying to get the danged clouds to come out right. I love my Terragen, but if anything PISSES me off about it, is that you can't directly control cloud placement. Ugh.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ariades In reply to Kazlor [2006-10-22 09:14:24 +0000 UTC]

Clouds, y'say... 2D or 3D? Choosing between 2D and 3D can change the picture dramatically (: I advice 2D, though. The 3D ones has a tendency of fucking themselves up totally.

And Meters Point Spacing is also good to use when you want your sun's rays to be more visible. But I wouldn't take it higher than 300, if you're going to use it like that

Got MSN? Would be easier to talk there

Oh, and thanks alot for adding me to the Watch list!

Kazlor In reply to Ariades [2006-10-22 10:29:46 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I don't do 3d a whole lot for that reason.

And yep. MSN would be unholydeath@unholydeath.net
