Description
Some months after Mary's death Watson is coming to terms with his recent losses and discovers that fate hasn't robbed him of everyone he cared about. Solace comes in many guises. Also, getting drunk with an Inspector of the Yard shouldn't be that much fun
Though Lestrade at least is rather a bit farther gone than he had planned lol. Ending up where he is now wasn't really his intention, but it's not his fault that the floor can't keep from swaying under his feet. It's really much more sensible to stay where he is for a while. Falling down was such an unpleasant sensation after all, and his current position is just so comfortable
and Watson doesn't mind x3

Aww this is so adorable! Especially the way Lestrade looks at Watson. Such a trusting and loving expression. In my canon Lestrade and Watson became best friends during Holmes' hiatus. (though I do admit, I'd wish it would be Holmes instead of Lestrade) Β
