Personally I believe Twilight will become an Alicorn, but won't like feeling more powerful than her friends and change back. But still with plenty air time for Hasbro to sell a heck load of toys.

haha, I kinda agree. the series doesn't feel like it's really going anywhere if it's not happening, but even if it does happen, it seems a little too soon.

Yes. I feel if she did become an alicorn it would have to be at the end of the show. They better come up with something interesting quick as season three (dare I say?) has been a *bit* of a letdown.

well, the show's not ending any time soon, considering season 4 has already been announced. (Not to mention, Hasbro would be just plain stupid to end the show; they're making boatloads of money off of us!) I believe there are ways that they could make it work with her becoming an alicorn now (I'm just not totally sure how).
& I'm curious as to why you think season 3 was a letdown.

I know, but isn't season 4 supposed to be only 16 episodes? As for the whole alicorn thing, I know that most of the rumors are stemming from the "princess coronation" title. However, as someone mentioned on EQD, that title could just refer to Cadance.
As for season 3, I think "letdown" is too strong of a word, but I just feel like they haven't been pushing the characters as much as S2. Nothing specific. I wish they had developed Sambra a little more...

I haven't heard that season 4 is going to be 16 eps... could just be fan rumors. Cadence already has her princess title (Celestia even called Shining Armor by his title, prince) Some people are saying Cadence is preggo & it's about her baby. (which, if true, is another Hasbro plan to sell toys. "OTL)
In a way, I agree, but disagree. & Sombra's definitely coming back. I'm sure of it.
also [link] read the "Production & Development" section. Not sure if Derpy, or Octavia. (considering there were rumors going around of an Octavia & Rarity duet)
