How do you decide what colors to daub using? And the brush settings?

The color scheme of the olivia serie is often purple pink black/white. About the brush, I used the basic one

Actually what i was wondering refers to all your artworks.
How do you know when to decrease the opacity, grain, bleed, and the others?
Also, if it's not too much, any tutorials which you've referred to in the past that may be helpful?

I accidentally put the brush settings from Painter X. I completely forgot that you work in PS.
So I'm just curious now... How do you manage that paint feel in PS?

Seeing the progression of you working with an outline is incredibly helpful. Am working on doing color for some lineart I have right now and it hasn't been turning out the way I want. This gave me a bit of a different perspective as to how to go about it. Thanks for posting.
