EDIT: So I drew this during a period when I was really insecure about art, and after getting a few comments about Chell looking masculine I felt bad about how I'd drawn her and scrapped this. I am now putting it back in my gallery because you know, I actually always did think Chell was slightly masculine, and I drew her this way on purpose, and it came out the way I wanted. This is actually closer to how I think of Chell than most of my other drawings of her, and she will always be one of my favorite characters in gaming.

That'd so awesome you decided to put this back up, way to have confidence dude! Honestly, you should draw for yourself and not for others, and if you like it, then it doesn't matter what others think

Ahaha though, I'm laughing at myself for being so nervous about something like this back then... given the kinds of characters and crack scenarios I now draw regularly. I really need to draw more masculine female characters, I like them too

Ah, yeah, I guess she does. I'm still getting used to drawing her (as well as drawing less cartoony characters in general) and haven't settled on a consistent look for her yet.

Yep. It has a long and sad history of disappointment, as its would-be friends keep disappearing not long after it meets them. Nevertheless, it continues to look on the bright side and persevere.

I feel sorry for turrets sometimes. Then again...they friggin' shoot me to hell and back agian when I'm trying to solve puzzles.

Hehe, I suppose it's good for everyone's sanity that in the actual game there weren't any turrets hidden in unlit areas.
There's also all the singing ones, who seemed pretty sympathetic to Chell if the lyrics are anything to go by, and the defective turret that thanks you for saving him. ...Hey, that's the solution: befriend defective turrets that can't hurt you, and through friendship show them that, despite their lack of the qualities valued by their society at large (namely, the ability to fire bullets), they have loads of other strengths that make their simulated consciousness worthwhile (such as witty one-liners)!

Haha, true. Yeah, I do find it bizarre (but helpful) that Chell can survive all but the heaviest bullet fire...yeah, I'm going with genetic modification, too.
