Haha, I think the main reason I like Snow is because of that video. I agree that his behavior could be... irrational. I used him in my party for a lot of the story part of the game, though. (In the postgame it was Fang/Lightning/Vanille all the way.)

Sorry this reply is so late, but I'm glad you enjoyed the sketch! The voice actors for Lightning and Snow are both very entertaining to watch (especially Troy Baker--his convention panels are generally hilarious), and I think they're a large reason of why I like the characters in XIII so much. The other part is fan interpretation, of course. FF7 is my favorite Final Fantasy, but I think the fact that I take FF13's story less seriously makes me more encouraged to draw silly fanart of its characters.

And thank you for the very nice comment, I'm glad you like the details and textures in this! Haha, Steelguard is officially Snow's catchphrase now. xD

I agree with everything you've said right now! Troy Baker is a wonderful voice actor and adds a lot to Snow's character. And I don't know if you saw my signature, but FF7 is my favorite Final Fantasy as well!! It's great we have some things in common.

Once again your attention to texture is marvelous. I'm still trying to approach how great you can make your grass look; the clouds are gorgeous; and I just can't stop staring at all of the detail in the creature's legs. Your style is simultaneously painterly and cartoonish and I love it.

Hahaha thanks. Yes, yes they do. Or else just really well-written character scripts, like Portal 2. I would love to see more character humor in games in general.

Thank you, I really appreciate your detailed comment. I'm glad my style works for you; I try to keep a balance of cartoonishness and detail, so I'm happy it's working. I do have a preference for cartoon styles and I never want to stray too far from that. I'm glad you like how the legs came out; I was at first worried about how to approach them because the ingame model is so detailed, but they actually ended up being pretty fun to draw, so I'm glad that came across. And haha, the secret to my grass is pretty simple, just a lot of strips of different shades of green scattered over each other.
