March 25th is Corsola Day on pixiv! I submitted it there about 12 hours earlier XD3/25 reads as sa-ni-go, which corresponds exactly to Corsola's Japanese name.
Spent 12 days working on this. Arguably the hardest part was drawing the corals! A lot of the ones I googled have so many bumps and details on them XD

Yay! I've always liked Corsola, so it's always nice to see some cute fanart of her from time to time! (she's really sort of underrated, heh)
Also, it's funny that I never thought about it that way. I'm studying Japanese, and I was also already aware that Corsola's Japanese name is γ΅γγΌγ΄
, but I never would have noticed the potential pun of "san ni go" for March 25. Clever! ^_^

Oh, you're right, this really was very interesting! (I especially like Banana day and NEET day, haha) There are so many interesting phenomena in Japanese language/culture that have no English parallels, so that's part of why I got into studying it in the first place.

Raising my corsola, Azure Mage, in HG was an interesting experience. It can't really compete with several other pokemon when it comes to being a supportive healer... But boy does it try anyways! It was hard to catch and so fun to raise! Not to mention really cute! ^_^

Pixiv is a fun place. There are lots of Pokemon days (eg Corsola Day on 3/25, Shaymin Day on 4/13, Togekiss Day on 5/23, Vulpix Day on 6/5). It's more fun if you can keep up with the Japanese there XD
And yeah Corsola is a really cute supportive wall. Against lower-tier Pokemon it's actually great to use.

So many days dedicated to pokemon... That sounds wonderful! And whoa, hold on! There's a Togekiss day too?? That's awesome!! Togetic is my favorite pokemon, but I know that every togekiss was once a tic at some point. A day to celebrate that evolutionary line though... I've got to remember 5/23 in the future!
