I know that in the books Sherlock eventually gets a dog, but in the show he really strikes me as a cat person. It would take time for him to warm up to animals, as well as people, and I'm sure cats would sense his misunderstood, kind heart <3Related content

Actually, I think he only uses a dog for a case but doesn't own him. In the Guy Richie movies, Watson has a bulldog named Gladstone but Holmes just experiments on the poor thing all the time. Sherlock actsΒ moreΒ like a cat too. I actually saw this stamp that said, "Autistic people are like cats, they only show affection when they want to" and I thought about how Sherlock is often depicted as a cat. John is more like a dog

Actually, I also always thought that Sherlock Holmes is a rather feline person. He has something very cat-like about him - his behaviour and such. If he was an animal, he'd be a cat!

I definitely see Sherlock, at least the BBC sherlock, to be a cat person. Though the loyalty of dogs come into play and is important, I think the fact that you barely have to take care of cats would help in our dear Sherlock's case. The cat can be there when he wants it, and then wandering around when he's busy! I love your soft style. I adore the way you painted his hair.
