I am really sick of drawing this. =__= I tried to make pores... input on which parts of the pores actually work and which don't would be great.References used, obviously, but it is an original painting. o_O

I completely feel you on that. Whenever I do portraits I think about playing with the lighting or making big changes but I chicken out. Right now I'm at an experience level where it feels like I have to sacrifice either originality or quality. I'm guessing with more practice it'll be easier to paint well without an exact reference. Keep up the amazing work!

On input for her pores: The Pores on her neck aren't all that necessary, we seldom actually see the pores on our throats. The upper eyelid area between the brow and eye can also do without them. Generally pores show on women between lower lip and chin where the skin dips a bit, on the cheeks a little closer to the nose, the tip of the nose and some on the forehead, men's pores are generally bigger so they like to show a bit more everywhere on some level. We have pores everywhere, but sometimes they don't show at all where the skin in naturally very soft unless we are sweating heavily. I hope that helped.

How late am I? April 25th.. Today's June 6th.. eh, not too bad.
Well you should be proud of this one. Reference or not, we all use references.
(Those who say they don't are liars or "abstract crap" artists)
It's perfect. Chin, lips, philthrum, nose, beautiful eyes, lashes..
And eyebrows + hair are two major pains in the @$$ yet you pulled them off very well.
Truthfully, most people tend to screw up the visible carotid triangle and SCM muscle of the neck.
But you didn't. My comments usually end strange like this

I see we have the same TV preferences which show in our galleries (in a very different style though)
Quite great if you ask me, with a classic touch.
About your pores question, I think you did very well. Just don't forget that skin irregularities and details are more visible in the halftone, even more than in highlights.
