Description
The raised welts
From the incisions
I made on my arm
Hurt when you touch them.
I remember when I pulled apart
The wound so I could watch
The blood form a pool
And leak out of my skin.
Now they are just raised
On my body with dried up
Darker than crimson flakes.
One was from the handle of my bowl,
Broken off from when I dropped it on the ground.
The others are from my paper cutter,
The one I used to carry to school with me
To finish those last minute projects.
I like it.
I like them.
Why must this be so unacceptable?

everyone i know pretty much has cut at one point in their life. they are over it now and say mine are 'worse' not at all. they barely bleed for more than 20 minutes no stitches nothing. i feel weak when someone says they needed stitches. thats why i do it sometimes..

Yeah, I'm with you on that one.
About a good 10% of my body is covered in scars, and I even made a Submission about it.
People to this day are shocked.
I look at the scars not as signs of being hurt, but as signs of healing, signs that I've overcome what caused them, and I dont have any others because I've healed.
