I blame you for my problems
[I never wanted you in the first place, you know. Why'd you pick me? I'm not even biologically fit for you.]

Although, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me
[If you ask my friends, anyway. That's exactly what they think I'd say, so I better say it, right?]

My poetry stems from you
[Because where else will I get the pain for my words to meld together and tell the story of a broken little girl?]

I can never get away from you
[According to books and all that jazz; I mean it's not like I really want to get away, right? I'm proud of you, aren't I?]

You make me lie
[Like a dog. About my sleeves in the summer, about the way I feel right now (I'm just fine), and whenever I scream 'I hate you' to the ones I love.]

But most of all, you are a part of me
[And that's never going to change. Something I have to deal with, not anyone else. So please mind yourself and don't make assumptions about the way that I am.]
