i haven't deiced if she's going into or coming out of the wall environment, but i wanted some sense of depth perception in the image, that it didn't look flat. and thank you for the well thought out comment as well.

yea almost didn't submit it cause i couldn't find a way to make her fit her surroundings, it had been really frustrating me to no end. then i had one of those 'eh likes give this a go' moments and it work better than i anticipated it would. glad you like it kati

i use allot and i mean allot of layer masks, other than using the smart select tool to remove my subjects, pretty much everything else is done with a layer mask, blur for the most part. if you have more questions feel free to ask.

Nicely done, I agree. I love the way the body blends
However, it seems to me something is a little off with the hair where they meet with the wall. The colour changes, they seem to be half transparent...?

Oh yes. Before I got a tablet, and even now, I usually mess around with hair the most. It's a pain in the ass

I had mouse power for 4 years before aquiring a cheap tablet. (No Wacom, that's a WAY over my limits). It can be done, just takes a loooot of time and loooot of practice.(And still screws up most of the times)
