Alphonsis Cooke was an eccentric (or maybe someone in tune to a higher plain) who lived in the Midlands of Ireland just before the famine of the 1840's. He believed in reincarnation and that his estranged father would return as a Bee, so, of course, had his tomb build as a colossal beehive! Alphonsis was convinced he would return himself as a fox, and had a dozen man-sized marble fox holes build around the countryside for his future forms to enjoy! To this date none of them have ever been found. The beehive stands in an abandoned graveyard outside Mullingar, and is alone among the graves there in that it hasn't been lost to the brambles and overgrowth as nature reclaims her rights.
