Something about this picture makes me wish you had access to your models in the presence of Richard Serra's sculptures. I think it's that stark white wall against his body, there's just a nice clarity that comes with those wide planes of color, those huge, long walls-- and I guess I wonder what would happen if those walls also curved and were rusty and stuff. The architecture also has a very solid feel here, against the model's body-- set at this incredibly dubious angle that makes it look like he's about to fall into that white space and never return to this real world. Serra plays with angles like that to evoke effects with his sculptures, which is maybe where the real relationship to the work he does comes from. Hm...
