Trying myself with a background at a portrait. What do you think about it?
This drawing was a commission and shows Donna Leon, an Hanoverian horse mare.

I love this piece, very well constructed and very accurate. I see a few things I would pick on such as the hair on the ears dosn't look as in depth as the rest of the face. But really it is a very good piece. I also love the use of shading and how you gave it that grain pencil look. I also like the colours on the outside around the head the yellow and green really makes the horse stand out quite well.
The only reason the Originality was a tad low is because it is a horse head and its not un common. But the technique in which you have used is unique. Love the work keep it up I'd love to see more from you.

I always start with the ears and it seems like I always have to find my way into every drawing at first. Maybe I'll try to start with another part next time to avoid the ears looking other than the rest of the drawing. Thank you for showing me this.
