I would talk to someone who knows hair. They'd probably be able to give you some good advice on how to do it without completely fuckin' up your hair. Some protein booster stuff was used on mine to keep it from getting gross.

I planed to bleach my hair just a little bit, till it's kinda orange... That would be enough to colour it red...
My hair is actually very very dead =_= I had blond, black, blond-green, pink and red hair.. and now it's black again Y_Y
