Srsly the dwemer design is probably based off of the Mesopotamian civilization, none the less it's good!

A damn shame they disappeared, love their tech and architecture. Angular structures are always fun to look at.

To say nothing of those legendary beards! Their weapons and armor and buildings and architecture lasted forever, but the like of those beards shall not be seen again.

I never realized that I had yet to envision Dwemer Civilization since all we ever see of them are their ruins and left behind technology.
I really like this style for them actually.

But there are only male ghosts in Morrowind?
Female elves in TES don't have beards, I doubt Dwemer would be any different.

Just one "flaw" (in my opinion). They should have nearly black skin, shouldn't they?

I don't think so? Just look at Yagrum Bagarn. Besides, they were 1) very close descendants of the Aldmer, 2) living underground, so I would say they should have quite pale, yellow skin.

THANK you. I knew they had to be based on an ancient Middle Eastern civilization, I just couldn't recall the name.
But in any case, that was a brilliant idea. There's a hell of a lot of European influence in fantasy, and not enough, well, anywhere else.

Theives guild mission, the one where we were after Mercer, They had a torture chamber in there and Karlia explained that they were a cruel race.
Plus they left behind tech that's alive and that could kill us.

I'm pretty sure that almost every race can be cruel in their own way, and Dwemer weren't the only ones to have a torture chamber. They were fascinated with science and technology, so no wonder that a lot of their stuff still works. But I don't think it's their fault that there are careless people who seek treasures in their homes and get themselves killed.
