Happy Easter everyone!
For our current University assignment we have to create an animation. (:
It's a completely new world to me but I'm enjoying every moment of it and I'm learning so much every day it's incredible.
If you want to follow my journey it's best to do it on this tumblr I especially created for this Unit: 'The Letter'
This was one of the first small animation tests I did a few weeks back. Just a little jump.

This is amazing.... I've always wanted to learn how to animate, at least in a basic way.... Is it okay if I try to follow your steps? Sadly, I don't think I could ever afford a light table but I'd like to try a simple animation at least once in my life.
Your work is always so magnificent. Seeing your characters move is a mind-blowing experience.

Of course that's okay! I'm not sure mine are the best steps to follow though, since I'm just starting to learn everything about it myself...there are tons of great tutorials out there that will surely help you!
As for the light table, I didn't use one for this little test. I only used a few sheets of tracing paper, they work just as well so don't worry about getting expensive equipment too much! (:
