“Heeey… yer kinda hugging me right now… and I don’t think bats wear clothing~!” She said in a sing-song voice, resulting in Alphonse attempting to throttle her with his stubby paws before she finally began to inspect their surroundings.

“Well… it looks a lot like your basement, actually, except nicer… there’s a bunch of these tubes of thick plexiglass, big enough to fit about one person a pop in them… their filled with this sickly green stuff, and it’s kind of glowing, so I can see… there are people in them.” She added even as the familiar smell of formaldehyde, the preservative Alex had so gleefully used to preserve his ‘samples,’ crept into the blonde’s nostrils.
“And, uh… there are these gothic-looking statues in between every two of the containers… but they aren’t like the ones outside, they look hand-carved… Hey, wait a minute, there’s something going on down at the end of the row… there’s a skinny ugly guy looking in one of the glasses, and it’s just starting to fill with that liquid, and whoever’s inside is still-oh shit!! It’s Ezekiel, he’s got Ezekiel in the thingy, he’s gonna drown him!!” She squeaked, her tiny mouse claws digging convulsively into Alphonse’s fur.

Meanwhile, the scientist was talking to his prisoner, and the vampire recognized the voice as Edgar’s. The man was speaking gleefully, almost casually, as if he was discussing nothing more interesting then a nice, sunny day.
“Now, now, it’s formaldehyde, so don’t think you can just turn into a fishie and be able to breathe… it’ll kill you even quicker if you try that!” He snickered, and the young mage snarled, baring his teeth at his captor and hissing.
“B-Bastard! You won’t get away with this!! You have no idea how many serve the Dark Church-they’ll k-kill you for murdering their Archbishop, you disgusting freak!!”
The scientist’s only response was a delighted chuckle.
“Oh, brave words, but I can see you trembling… you’re sending ripples through the liquid. And I’m afraid there’s no one left to punish me… because of your cowardice. I watched the entire thing; if you hadn’t been such a scared little weakling and fallen, you could have disabled the bomb and delayed the end, but no, that required far too much bravery for an urchin like you…” He purred.
“Mariette will be angry that I killed you… I wasn’t supposed to. They had other plans in store for you. She’s here, you know… Oh well, I’ll weasel my way out of that problem later. Where’d you get more clothing?” He asked curiously as the boy shuddered, leaning weakly against the thick glass that imprisoned him as the freezing cold fluid slowly rose to his waist. He was dressed in only a ragged pair of jeans, and he snarled in response to the man’s question, making him snicker.
“Stole them off the corpses, did you? Oh well, they can be removed later. Animals need no clothing, and it makes it harder to study the specimens… interferes with the chemical tests and such. And besides, perhaps the sight of your pretty, naked little body will placate the succubus slightly?” He sneered, and at that Ezekiel let out a small sob, despairing as he closed his eyes and waited for his inevitable death.
“But you shouldn’t blame me for this! This is all Asthma’s fault… he stole my Katrina from me, and all of my ideas just to prove he could make them before I could!! It’s because of him that I’m doing this!! My only pity is that he isn’t around to see the suffering of his favorite nephew, but oh well, at least it will give me some emotional gratification… and his death was your fault, too! Ahahaha!!”
