Daredevil coverall ink line art (spot red added digitally)

This is a Daredevil cover I did for Marvel a while ago.
They bought it as a stock cover and it's supposed to be printed B&W with spot red on the DD logo.
I don't know what issue they will be printing it on though.
It was also selected to be in the upcoming "Spectrum 17: The Best in Contemporay Fantastic Art" book.

you're lighting is incredible, you remind me of Frank Frazetta or Bernie Wrightson, however you have your own unique style which I feel is amazing!

Both Frazetta and Wrightson are major influences for me, even though my stuff leans more towards a comics/cartoony/jimlee style. When I was in my early twenties I would copy Frazetta's style and to do what you do takes a serious level of commitment and hard work. Lots of respect to you and your nicely detailed art. I would love to see your style of art in more mainstream comics, however I know that it is probably not commercially prudent for the big comic companies.

I have done several covers for Marvel, DC ,Dark Horse etc. Sadly this Daredevil piece has not even been used for a published comic... it was bought as a stock cover by Marvel, but I'm not sure it will ever see print on a comic. Not too encouraging to follow the mainstream comic path with my art.

The sad part about the mainstream audience, is that they don't appreciate the level of technique and creativity that is required to produce high quality art. The upside is that thanks to sites like DA you're able to reach a broader audience who truly can appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to produce your work. I will definitely keep my eye out for your work, take care my friend!

Sometimes they do, often it is other artists. This Daredevil drawing will be in the upcoming Spectrum book, so at least it will see print

All of your posted art is really great. The play of the light and shadows in this picture are very well done. Your art is very inspired and edgy. How long have you been making art? Did you receive formal training?

It looks like I missed these questions from a while back...
I have been drawing/ making art since I was very young & professionally for maybe around 8 years. I have a degree in art & design, though I think much of this art and where I am was self taught with practice and trying to push myself.
