question... um what do you use for line art and do you have any tips on using it?

well... if i'm having trouble drawing something the internet is a wonderful place to look for stock images. I always start a piece of art with pencil and paper. then i scan it onto my laptop. Depending if you have a tablet or not, you can either use the pen tool to trace the lines (on PS) or (and this is what i do) i actually redraw it with my tablet and tweak things here and there. it's also a good idea to sketch out part of the shadows in a lighter colour. i'm horrible at figuring out lighting still Dx but it takes practice.
I'm sure there's a way easier way than what I've just described haha... but it's what i do, and i prefer to do it this way.

haha yeah i do usually go in and sketch stuff on paper first and the go in to fix it in SAI i haven been using photoshop cuz it's hard to get used to but yeah im using a wacom fun so i guess im still rough (even after a year) with using it.......oh well it proves that the only way to get a truely good line art is by drawing it yourself

hahah well i was really meaning that i can't draw women without a reference. that's what really bothers me. and for some reason i only know how to draw curvaceous women. it's really bothersome! honestly! gah!

Yeah, I have the same "problem". It is a rare thing, though, to be able to produce masterful pieces without references! I normally use a ton of pieces.
I don't know if it was you I mentioned this to before, but even the famous artists and sculptors of ancient Rome and Greece, and even the Reniassance, used references constantly! They'd have people pose for them, and then would also make miniature replicas to take with them for references later on.
