Description
This piece represents my meaning of Gabriel - the herald coming to Virgin Mary. White lily is his attribute and indicates the purity and innocence. Blue background regards the blue mantle of the Virgin. He has no wings as I think it is a big clichΓ©
According to some esoteric ideas Gabriel is holder of a feminine principle.
The meaning of this painting is not religious.
I used new technique here for the first time - applying thin oil layer on layer.

Stunning! At first look the "stream" sounds to D.G.Rossetti for the gorgeus quality of the painting, but it's even more. Really, the "mistery signs" (neck, hand, obviously eyes) take to The Giant: Leonardo. I fear for the author... but a master is born!

De facto, the texture is made by tissue of canvas (if you ment this). This is small picture in A4 format, thus the the texture is clearly visible on the photo.
