I think their 1st album is their best. Its one of my favorite albums of all time. It really REALLY tells a story! Unlike all those plain boring sugar-pop albums mtv throw in our heads all the time..

Did you like the other to albums as well? I liked the second one, but the last one... hmm.. not so much. There are few songs there I literally can't stand and I always skip to the next one. May I said, they can do better, I know

I like the second one aswell. I really like it. But its not as inspiring as the first one. I like 'kings and queens' but thats just basically it.. They say that they are going to try something different with every album they make, but it seems to me that trying something different is doing something more 'pop-ish'..

Oh yes, 30STM rules! Echelon was the firs song by them I have heard, and I fell in love from the beginning. It was also a request from a friend to paint my interpretation, of the music, and of the song itself, cause I do realise that this has not much in common with the lyrics/title. I like it anyway
My next goals are:
- Was it a Dream?
- Beautifull lie

One day someone gave me few of their songs to listen. It was the middle of the night, as far as I recall. Darkness all around me, just me, my huge headphones, my screen and my Echelon - the very firs STM song I've ever heard. What you see here is what I saw in my head that night.
I played Echelon till morning and fell asleep with it ^^'
I just had to paint it

Works like this don't look like traditional watercolours, but they really take time to finish them properly. All those details you know... I'll think of something after passing my winter exams at the university. I believe next semester will be not that tough for me. Soo stick around

hey again. im all green to this deviantart. yes yes - i really need to upgrade my life with a scanner. now i actually have some work id like to post here. u got any tip of where i can read/learn how to cut down the pics to a smaller size. when i klikk my pics they juz go all mad-huge on me, cant really get a good look on them...

Well... You need to have some graphic program installed on your computer to do that. I use Photoshop 7.0, but ACDSee (a picture files browser) has much simpler tool - ACDSee Photo Enhancer built in it. That's enough to cut your pics, resize them, sharpen lines, desaturate colour pixels on black&white drawings, to make contrast and gamma balance. However if you'd like to make more advanced stuff, like borders for example, you need advanced software, like that Photoshop I mentioned earlier. Try the simple stuff at first. Practice! Your works will look much better if you'll learn how to use those tools. GOOD LUCK!!

nie wiem co znaczy tytuł, ale świetnie komponuje z uczuciami, jakie wyzwala rysunek. interpretację mam uwarnkowaną do swojej sytuacji, czyli przekaz oprócz "ogólnego" przesłania jest grą w skojarzenia na własne rozumowanie - szeroka gama odbiorców. ok styka

And print will be out tomorow too :> I must tell you, I had really terrible time scanning and preparing my paintings to become high-quality prints. My computer almost suffocates with them (600 dpi is a tough thing to deal with).

i could imagine! scanning is difficult, i've tried so many times to scan a smooth picture. but really, from what i see of the deviation, its smooth and perfect enough

Yeah, especially when you have painting this big. It won't even fit my scanner! I have to skan it in parts and then play with photoshop, and for prints the parts are HUGE and this is the point where my PC won't take it any more
But I have waited for this print account so damn long.
