I've been wanting to cosplay something from Kenshin for a very very long time now since it's one of my very first Manga-series ever and I still like it very much. In my opinion, the plot of the Manga is very well written even compared to manga series nowadays and I love the ending! Back then I did not expect such a tragic backstory like the whole "remembrance" part with Tomoe though, so I got caught off-guard and it really got to me. I love Kaoru, but Tomoe's story kinda stuck to my mind very strongly, so it just had to be her for my first Kenshin cosplay.I never sewed a Kimono before, so that's a first! I did this shooting with RomaiLee as my handsome Hittokiri Battousai, and we went with Sven, our photographer, to the Swiss alps to get a location as authentic as possible … but we kinda ran out of time and light when it came to more …gruesome shots with blood and all. (RomaiLee & I even cooked up some fake blood the night before while watching the Kenshin OVA's)
We're gonna re-do it in winter 2014 though! So yeah, more pics will follow.
It was frickin' damn cold, but I had pretty much fun with them and now I know what i have to correct on my cosplay for next time!
