I posted a link to my transparency tutorial a while back, but I took screen captures and made an image for those who didn't want to have to sign up just to see it. :3Anyway, here's how to make transparencies using MS Paint and GIMP, for those who can't afford PS. All info about where to get it is on here.

cuz i might be getting open canvas and stuff and well i will be making my art better and i really like how u showed these pictures lol and well i do the outlining too so that i dont mess up lol

This is with GIMP and MS paint, both free programs. MS Paint usually comes with every PC, so I don't know of anywhere to download it, never looked.
but GIMP, all you need to do is follow the link I have in there.

because it was nicely planned, but the bad weather on my birthday ruined that. Everyone got pushed down a day, meaning I had to make cancels and things for my friends because they have school

you see in the screenshot how it says "HEX: a8e61d"?
well the a8e61d is the code. When you use the eyedropper to pick out the color you used as you background (the bright green in my pic) it'll give you a code like that for your color. That's what I was referring to. :3

that's there to show you it's transparent. xD
so after you've selected the color as I showed you, just cut it. ^_^
