Thank you hon  . I am so glad that you liked it. However, I think it is rather too different than what I used to make, since it is not much seen or faved as I anticipated. Not that I am complaining or am disappointed, but when I compare it with a VHD artwork, I kinda feel the great difference

Thank you so much . The whole project was that we had to choose an artist's style and either recreate one of their works, or make sth new based on their style. I chose Mucha's "art nouveau" style and chose Frida Kahlo's image. However, if you see art nouveau examples, they are often made with solid and pale colors, but I wanted to make it different by adding more saturated colors. Oh and I used markers and color pencils to color it ^^ .

Frida Kahlo... Sounds really familiar. Is it that woman who has back pains from a broken lower spine. I swear I've hear of her before.

As far as I recall, she was one of the greatest contemporary female artists from mexico. She had a tragic love story which ended in separation from her loved one and it broke her heart. To the point that her health grew weak and during an accident she was infected by syphilis and passed away at age of 47. Her works mostly include herself with symbolic elements like Mexican fruits, animals, or flowers.
