Ganesha is a complicated and multi-faceted deity. I decided I really wanted to illustrate something with a lot of green in it. Then I decided I wanted to draw Ganesha. Voilà. This is my interpretation of He That Removes Obstacles.I have a blog at [link]

Really beautiful. The color palette has a great harmony. I like that it references Hindu icons but in a way is something completely different. There's that little touch of abstraction in the way his limbs appear to come out of darkness, and I love that!
