My God... I'm with you. I know, what you feel... Maybe not at all, because I didn't have to make a decision to put down my doggie, but my 9 years old dalmatian Hilda passed away almost in my arms.
She felt bad and worse every day. Me and my mom took her to the doctor, but he only was experimenting: "Maybe those pills will help her. If not - we'll try another."
I won't tell you everything, but just one day I woke up, came to her and she was horribly hard and cold on the carpet. It was three days before my Birthday last year. Six months ago.

So... I know, what you feel now.

I just lost my Lobo dog of 10 years, and I know exactly how you feel. The love is soooo strong, and the hole in our hearts so big. I am so sorry for your loss, and thank God time does heal the pain a little.

Heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your beloved pet. I know how you feel ... two years ago, our 8 month old Rottweiler pups were poisoned & my heart still hasn't healed. I still can't go down the petfood aisle in the supermarket. But no doubt, your Jodie walks beside you in spirit form.

That is so terrible. There are very few times I feel driven to violence - but when I hear of people doing things like that to animals ..... it makes me extremely angry. Thinking of you.
