During the 1990s, a more eXtreme time when heroes had names like "Deathblood" and Kross Knyfe", he incorporated several design features from popular costumes into his. Of course, he eventually realized how the result looked and dropped them. And he had learned his lesson several years later when trends changed to black leather with piercings and facial hair.
