Description
The largest and yet the most seldom seen of all speaking Redbloods, the Valahvi are descendants of the Alinadine who never left the sea. Unrestricted by gravity and space, they grew great and powerful in the rich seas of Terth, to the extent that they are often mistaken for whales when they breach the surface. This great size comes at a great cost, though; they are simply too enormous and bulky to travel any significant distance on the land, and though they come often to speak and trade with land dwellers, most pay them little heed and remember little of them, and very few of their names are ever preserved in history. Many people who don't live near the sea don't believe that they actually exist; more still have never even heard of them.

To seafaring peoples, though, they are acknowledged as being of great importance. Many speculate that, if not for the massive size and equally massive appetites of the Valahvi, the ocean would be overrun with monsters. Fishing would be fruitless, sailing would be suicidal, and even dipping one's toes into the sea would be tempting a grim and gruesome fate. Gentle giants though they are, they are nonetheless descendents of the Alinadine, and bear the marks of the same past and inherit the same curse as their smaller land-dwelling cousins; they have no sympathy for Darkbloods of any shape or size.
