"Gunkdog" as she's... lovingly... refered to, is a Grimer who managed to cling herself to Fidelma when the young Cervitaur awoken in the distortion realm. Despite not looking like one, she behaved similarly to the dogs on Fidelma's homeplant (don't be fooled, while name and function wise they are basically earth dogs, they are... not at all earth dogs appearance wise.) As part plant and in-tune with nature, the rotted aura Gunkdog has around her makes Fidelma quite uneasy. But it's hard to hate the blob of sludge, she's just... endearing!

Though Fidelma understand's none of their Pokemon companions tongue, Gunkdog doesn't seem to speak that language anyways. No ones quite sure if she understands others saying it either. Everyone finds her a bit odd due to this, it's as though she's not fully with it at all times. But she sticks around, and for the most part, everyone is happy to see her.
