After the loss of the demon war, demon kind brokered a deal with several human cities. Several cities throughout the world would be able to thrive with little demon influence for 20 years. After 20 years they would negotiate. The demons knew they needed the humans to procreate and called these places Farms, humans preferred to call them safe zones. The Zones were located away from places of magical import, so Xoey would have to sneak in and out of the zone she lived in to get artifacts she needed for power.

Back from her latest incursion, she noticed a woman from across the street observing her. The woman looked familiar somehow and gave Xoey a quick wave and smile, which made Xoey even more nervous. There were many in the zones that worked as spies for the demons and almost everyone was suspect. Xoey considered approaching the woman, but since she wasn't with any anti demon organization, she thought it best just to go up to her room and work on her plans for revenge.
