She used to be a hero. Part of America's premeire superhero team. Enhanced strength, reflexes and invunerability that allows her to feel but not get hurt, she was America's darling until her younger sister overdosed. Liberty, the unbreakable woman, had a broken heart and the only thing that could cure it was vengence. She tracked down the pusher that sold her sister the stuff and learned more than she wanted to.

Her sister had been hooking to get the money for drugs but Liberty was too busy between battles with super villains and media events, she never noticed. The pimp/pusher laughed as he told her this. She was holding him out a fifth story window in the afternoon and a crowd was forming. He thought the very worst she would do is rough him up a bit and he may spend a few hours in jail (there would be nothing to hold him on), he even started to think about suing until he felt her free hand grab for his neck. He tried to speak as the world went black and with an audible pop his neck snapped and she let him go falling onto the street below.

She turned herself into the police five hours after a warrent had been issued. The media went into a frenzy and the public demanded her head. The goverment had other plans. They staged a super villain fight in which Liberty would die. She was buried a hero even if her last act had made her a vigalante.

The goverment wanted her to work for them. A new identity, a new life across country and a new assignment: take out the scum who push and pimp and when they called she would do whatever they wanted. Liberty was dead and codename : Dark Tempest was loosed upon the world.
