Description look! eyes! a LOT of people have asked me to make an eye tutorial, so i tried to make one. i didn't realize it would be so many steps until i started making it, so...sorry if it's weird x.x you asked for it! haha

this is by no means the "correct" or "only" way to draw eyes. this is simply how i do it.

if you'd like me to do any other specific tutorials, feel free to tell me in a comment on this one! i've currently got a basic anatomy/proportaions tutorial planned, as well as a fabric shading tutorial.

Having looked at dozens of eye tutorials, rarely any new ones excite me, but you have a few things that are unusual and interesting.
May I ask a question? - how do you blend the colours?
I know the low opacity/repeated colour picking technique, but that never seems to work for me, especially on such small objects like an eye. (And the smudge of course is never a good idea for blending.) Do you have any different method?

i'm glad you like this! i actually use PaintTool SAI, so i use the WaterColor tool for blending everything. i didn't include that in the tutorial because i know there are tons of different ways to do it depending on what program you use (even in SAI i can think of several ways). but yup, that's what i do. i think SAI makes things super easy, haha

Everyday... EVERYDAY I can see all those eye drawing tutorials at the dA homepage... many of them are splendid and original, yet some others were just simple and minimalistic.

Now, this tut is by far, the most interested one I am looking for.
