Description This is Mont St Michel, a monastery in France. The funny thing is that it is surrounded by some of the fastest tides in the world AND quicksand. Basically a fortified monastery

I had the opportunity to travel here with my French class in high school. Though I am no where near fluent in French, I was certainly able to enjoy my month exploring the French countryside with a bit of Switzerland and Monaco thrown in.

Beautiful. I just now realized I've been there as a child! Good photo. I'd might adjust the colors a bit, but other than that: Perfect!

I actually didn't edit it (which of course makes all the difference in good photography). I'll keep it in mind for the future though

maybe more contrast would make it perfect - and also a bit cropping

It's definitely one of the coolest buildings I've ever seen.

Sadly enough I don't think I'm French at all (I'm almost purely British), I just love the language (thanks to school)

My first visit to the good ol' saint for example.
