usually I can tell what someone did to achieve an effect, or what they did to draw something but with this at first I was as equally dumbfounded as I am impressed...
its like you put your camera on the dash during WWIII and managed to throw in some aviators....
and on second thought its a timed exposure from your dash at night or twilight with some cool contrails happening but great mind f@ck

haha yes very close! But really all I did was place and hold my camera on the dash for 30 seconds. Took a few long exposures, and this was the one I liked most. We were driving on the highway which has huge light poles which you see the top lights. The smaller squiggly lines are all from vehicles in the opposite direction (yellow/white lines) and the same direction (red lines)
