Wow...the detail of this building is really amazing! I love old buildings; they always seem to have that inner beauty and personality that buildings nowadays lack. You got a really good shot. ^^

Wowzers! It looks like something right out of a Gothic horror story.

"And none could say what happened to those seven brave souls who disappeared that dark and stormy night somewhere within 'The House of Terror'".

Wonderful job capturing the time-worn rough-hewn and cobblestone texture of the fascia stonework! The clouds are just too perfect.

When was it built, any idea?

I think in the early 1900s, but I'm not really sure. However, you're right, definitely Gothic in style. Love the commentary! Next time I upload, I'll get you to write the comments for me! You're obviously much more creative with that than I!

Maybe "creative" isn't the right word; "crazy" might be more appropriate...

"Never pull your punches in a barfight"

I would be happy to write the commentaries for your works. Ummm, would you require right of prior approval or are you willing to let me have free-rein?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

alimuse In reply to drrocket [2008-07-03 23:14:27 +0000 UTC]

Ooh. No one in her right mind would allow you free rein, Darrel. I must have first waiver rights. And I'll remember never to pull my punches, next time I'm in a bar fight with you! But, as they say in the south, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. So, I guess I'll just stick with the tools I know best.

A wise move, my dear Alicia, a truely wise move.

Well, since you won't be going to prison anytime soon over something you allowed mo to write into your commentaries, I guess I'll have to eat the cake with the file in it myownself...

Ah, that's okay. I'll come visit you and read to you from very uplifting, boring books every month or so, just to keep you occupied.

Ooooooo Noooooo, not "Crime and Punishment"!

Actually slogged my way through that one; I assume it reads much better in Russian...

Well, you can assume all you like. I had something more in mind like Jonathan Edwards' sermons. Something really deadly.
