Sometimes it's hard to properly fight for things we thought in our head. It is also difficult to understand that it is not only a question of our mind, nor of our health, when an inner struggle completely destroys us. I don't fight to defend myself, I don't fight to protect what can destroy me, like my heart or my feelings. I fight for what is my territory, for what makes me who I am. I fight for myself in the eyes of those who want to fight me.
This drawing is dated a very long time ago. It expresses a little, what I felt about this inner fight that I had to put an end to. I was crying, but I had nothing but rage in my eyes, or rather constant anguish. A morning sky, coupled with sunflowers, a flower that turns towards the rising sun, is a sign of what makes me want to continue to smile devilishly, in front of all that has sought me misfortunes.
