Did I post this? Just found it while going through my files and thought it's so cute. Not really a finished piece in any way, but we can't spend all day painting backgrounds, can we?I have some more things underway that I can't share yet, I've been fairly busy (by my standards - so very lazy by everyone else's). Exciting new things!

you know what i really like?
its so very easily visible how you made the plants go lighter and darker so they read well in front of the background value: light background β plant gets darker. dark background β plant gets lighter. simple stuff, but seeing it spelled out like this is a good lesson.

Reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki's work. The way you've captured a sense of wonder and awe is fantastic. Would love to see this coloured.
