I like the composition. It is not basic centre one, because that little puppy is leaning to the right and so is the whole picture. Those gaps between bricks prevent this pic from falling ^^
B&W version of this could be kinda nice too but on the other hand now that red is "highlighting" the cutie.

What a cutie! The angle makes the pup look so doleful - like he or she has just done something bad!
I like the contrast of the red brick against the black and white too - but a suggestion that I'd like to offer (hope you don't mind!) is that next time perhaps it might be even better if you gave the bricks a quick sweep to remove the debris.
