Description This is my couture clown thing for Project Designer. I asked Chris to assign me a clown part, and he picked very strong woman. There were a lot of things i wanted to incorporate so I'm glad it was a couture challenge. So starting at the top, a leather bodice with a lot of hand seam detail stuff visible. Then in the middle is a silverish gray sheer (cotton?) to be able to see part of the scary abs. Finally a very long exaggerated peplumed silver skirt. I was trying to send across a harshness with the leather and a sort of gladiator thing with the silver stuff, and I think I got the message across.

I don't like the barbell....it looks a bit too contrived. I think you thought about it too much. I don't think the fabrics work...and to tell the truth, I don't like the bodice. I think the skirt is fabulous, but it doesn't really go with the topic.

Love the skirt and the leather..but I'm not too sure the sheer cotton adds to the design too well. I understand that it would be there to show off her awesome abs and all but from an asthetic point of view I don't think it's necissary. Now as far as the leather portion of the top are the lines draw on it stitching? Are there squares stitched on it? It's not quite clear.

The skirt portion is great! Just the right amount of flow so it's masculine yet a bit fem at the same time! Love the length.

Overall it's a nice design, but next time I'd like to see more clarity so it's apparent to the view exactly what your design choices are A bit more detailing might be nice for a couture challenge as well.

nice work

i dont feel you needed the barbell.. but it does add interest.

and i really enjoy the couture dress. the leather and then the sheer cotton (it should be something else though, like tulle or bridal) showing the abs,

and then the skirt is dramatic as well. you drew it well (however it's not peplumed, it's just draped and sewn to cause the rippling)

you did really well on this one. nice
