Description
Formerly a squad officer who served under Breen Commander Thot Trel, Gar was part of a fraction of Breen warriors who disagreed with their superior's honorless and violent ways, and who ended up siding with the Federation in the Breen-Deferi conflict. Following Trel's defeat, those Breen were granted asylum on Federation worlds, and some of them even willingly joined Starfleet Academy.

Vel'sh Gar himself was assigned to the crew of the USS Fenrir after graduating, and has been since then periodically assigned to exploration away teams due to his skills as a scout.

Though his physical contingencies as a Breen tend to impair him in his relations to others, he nonetheless remains fiercely loyal to his team mates.
