You get so bored when you have to stay in bed all day...Luckily I have a laptop and a tablet! They really helped me to overcome the boredom of these weeks! This is a very recent product, done for practice
As a matter of fact, this is a speedpaint: no pencil sketch, everything is done directly in Photoshop.I really want to get better at shading! My backgrounds are getting repetitive but...oh well. I had no other ideas and I'm tired now, so let's say that it's ok XD
Well...I don't have anyone who to dedicate this hug to, so I guess it's for everyone who has someone to C:

Sì, tutto tutto! @_@ In effetti è stata dura, soprattutto per lo sketch iniziale e il lineart - non è facile quando stai sdraiata sui cuscini e devi tenere la tavoletta grafica in grembo! XD Comunque considerando tutto ciò sono abbastanza soddisfatta del risultato

The expressions and hair and folds in the clothes are very well done!

Pretty nice, especially for a straight to digital piece! I actually like what this drawing represents from a theme standpoint; there's some tenderness here, but there's also a sense of pure friendship and just having fun being around each other, which is cool to see.
As for the shading goes, I think for the most part, everything's good. I especially like the attention you gave to noses of both characters. And as usual, your hair and fold details are admirable. I'm curious to figure out what exactly it is you want to improve with your shading and where you wish to take your style, though. What you already do is good, so it would be fun to simply hear what more you wish to add to your approach.
Anyways, it's great to know that you've been keeping at it, even while in less-than-perfect condition. That in itself is something to appreciate. Hopefully, you'll continue to improve as you wish, continue to get better, and find that someone you can hug along the way.

Hehe, you actually got it right: I really want to learn how to colour noses in a nice way and since I'm doing some changes in the way I draw males, a new shape of the nose became also a good occasion for practicing with digital painting
Apart from that, I usually don't paint shadows so accurately (my way of shading can be very flat, sometimes!), but I've seen so many pics done in that way! - I really like the effect and that particular atmosphere that a more "professional" digital painting can give to a simple lineart, so I'd really like to learn how to do it on my own!

Don't mention it. As usual, it's a pleasure to get to see your work, and it's nice to know that you're still hanging in there.
Anyways, you're definitely off to a good start on the noses. I didn't know that was a focal point of this piece, but they did stand out in a very positive way, and I couldn't help but compliment that. At the moment, the only thing I could see you possibly adding would be some darker shades to define the nostrils, but the lineart works well enough in regards to that. As far as shadows go, I suspect you'll get the hang of things soon enough. I'll say that with a few more shots at it, you'll have an idea of how you want to define the shadows and be able to have a nice balance with them that compliments the rest of your shading.
You're very welcome. It's a lot of fun getting a chance to see your efforts and having a chance to comment, and I'm usually interested in see what you're trying to do to improve. It's quite inspiring, to be honest.
