This is how I picture Alfred and Lin's first date to be like. They're huge fans of sports. Lin's amazing at basketball, while Alfred's true favorite sport baseball. He love basketball. He and Lin also had this competitive rivalry when it comes to sports. They'll competitive in sports, but it's only played for laughs.
I fail at describing relationships.

I think it would depend on the anime style. I mean, I don't think any real person would translate well into, say, the art style of Shin Chan, Sanrio, or Doraemon. On the other hand, if using a more realistic style like Hetalia, Cowboy Bebop, or most of the works from Madhouse Studios, I think it would do well. 'sides, you're an awesome artist, and I know you'd find a way to make it work.
