Description

The church of St. Michael in the Dorset village of Stinsford. Stinsford was the birthplace of novelist Thomas Hardy, who was baptised here and his heart was buried in the churchyard in 1928, his body having being interred at Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey. The grave of another great English writer, Cecil Day-Lewis, is also buried here.

Created from the original using Photoshop Poster Edges, Crosshatch, Plastic Wrap and Sharpen filters with Redfield Fine Touch Landscape filter.

I can no longer find the exact same photograph on the internet so can offer no credits or links to the original.

As a fan of Cradle of Filth, expecially their early period, I find this place sooooo beautiful! This is perfect with their music In Italy, unluckily, we don't have a lots of gothic ruins, excepts places like Milan's great cathedral ("Duomo") and Orvieto or small places like Vigoleno…

Thank you Hedera! I wouldn't say that the church is Gothic although the churchyard and the manipulations I have applied do give it a kind of Gothic feel!
