Description
The church of St. Michael in the Dorset village of Stinsford. Stinsford was the birthplace of novelist Thomas Hardy, who was baptised here and his heart was buried in the churchyard in 1928, his body having being interred at Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey. The grave of another great English writer, Cecil Day-Lewis, is also buried here.
