Description

Looking west from the summit of Honister Pass, one of the steepest and highest passes in the Lake District of Cumbria and which carries the B5289 road between Borrowdale and Buttermere. The buttresses to either side of the road are built of slate from the quarry at the top of the pass.

The natural landscape of Cumbria can be really beautiful I agree with one of the other comentators - it indeed looks like a location taken straight from the Middle Earth! Great shot!
